VACANCY: Compliance Officer CO.G/3/24

Our client a mortgage bank based in Ogun State is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer.

As a Compliance Officer, you play a pivotal role in ensuring that an organization adheres to external regulations and internal policies. Your primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and enforce compliance programs to prevent or detect violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.

Success in this role requires a combination of deep regulatory knowledge, strong communication skills, proactive risk management, and a commitment to fostering a compliant culture across all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Policy Development: Create and update company policies and procedures to align with relevant laws and regulations.

·        Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

·        Training and Education: Provide training sessions to employees on compliance-related topics, ensuring understanding and adherence to guidelines.

·        Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor compliance activities within the organization, investigate any breaches, and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.

·        Auditing and Review: Perform internal audits to assess the effectiveness of existing compliance programs and recommend improvements.
